Hen Parties & Celebration Days

One of the joys of Downe Health Spa is that it is an intimate facility and that makes it ideal for holding a celebration such as a Hen Party or Hen Day or Hen Weekend or Hen Break, indeed any kind of celebration by a group of ladies.

When you are planning a celebration with a group of friends you do need to be very confident about the location you select. If possible, do make the effort to visit Downe before you make the booking and meet Jeremy, Lynda and the therapists at Downe. You will be able to discuss your Day in detail with them and we have no doubt that you will quickly become confident that Jeremy, Lynda and the staff at Downe will be superb hosts and that the Day will be wonderful.

With a party of eight or more we call the day a “Celebration Day”. With Celebration Days we make the use of the spa facilities exclusive to the group and that creates a fabulous atmosphere for the Day. That exclusivity helps make a Celebration Day at Downe so very special.

The cost of the Celebration Day is £105 per person and this includes TWO of the following therapies for each person attending: either

Each of the above therapies is a twenty five minute therapy.

Each individual can, if they wish, add additional therapies of their choice from the complete list of therapies available at Downe.

It is difficult to over emphasise the attractiveness of Downe as a location for a Hen Party or Celebration Day when the group is eight or more and the use of the spa facilities becomes exclusive. This creates a wonderfully friendly, intimate and relaxed environment.

A Celebration Day Recommendation

Recently The North Devon Gazette interviewed a bride to be a few days after she had held her Hen Party at Downe. One and Two Night Celebration Breaks

It is also possible to stay in Downe’s luxury cottages and enjoy a One or Two Night Celebration Break.  On the One Night Pamper Break the party arrives at 9.30 a.m. and starts their Pamper Day on arrival.  At the end of the Pamper Day they move to their cottage.  On the Two Night Pamper Break the party arrives after 4.00 p.m. the day before the Pamper Day and spends the night in the cottage both before and after the Pamper Day.

The cost of the Pamper Breaks always includes Continental Breakfast Basket but we do not include dinner in the price as every group has different requirements for dinner.

Virgin Celebration Days and Virgin Celebration Breaks

We are also able to offer the option of a Celebration Day without therapies.  These can take place on a Sunday or a Monday and cost £75 per person.

Similarly we can offer a Celebration Break without therapies.  The Celebration Day within the Celebration Break takes place on a Sunday or a Monday.
